NEW HAVEN, C.T. – Seventeen-year-old Tatiana
Engelejes has been reported as missing for more than a
week by her parents.
Tatiana has long dark brown hair and brown eyes.
According to Tatiana's parents, their daughter had been
absent from school and home for a week, last seen
saying goodnight to her parents in her bedroom on the
night of February 29th. Police are currently investigating
the disappearance.
"Running away just doesn't make sense. [It] wouldn't be like Tati," says Aditi Engelejes, 41. "We're worried for her. She's a good girl, likes to stay with family, stay at home. We worry she is in trouble."
The Engelejes family describe Tatiana as a quiet, studious girl who enjoys singing, playing computer games and writing songs in her free time. Tatiana likes to spend time with her mother, father, and cat Electra.
"Tatiana, you are one of our best students," Nica Thompson, Wilbur L. Cross art teacher, says. "We miss you. Your parents and teachers are worried. Please come back."
